LEARNING OBJECTVIE: Discover how to substitute values for letters in an expression and work out the final value

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be able to substitue values for letters in an expressiona nd using the rules of BODMAS work out the correct answer. You will imporve your times table knowledge, imporve your division skils and be able to deal with negative numbers in sums

ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES: Sortingout own resources and working out what work to continue with

PLENARIES: Students to check their own work against answers, seek help when stuck. I will support groups/individuals at tables

Thurs 11th/Frid 12th OCT - Review/Analysis of Test

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To understand what areas of weakness you have on test topics.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will have a better knowledge of  areas you were tested on and be aware of what areas you need to revise.

ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY: Hand back marked scripts to students for them to look at discuss/question...

LESSON:
1. Students to fill in the front cover of their test sheets analysing the individual questions on the test
2. Students to add this test result to their flight path sheet in folder
3. Work through the questions in the test, encourage students to make notes / copy model answers into their text books.
4. Ensure test and flight paths sheet are returned to Maths Folder for storage

EXTRA TASKS: Students who have not improved from a U grade or have gone down in grade to receive two extra homework tasks to be completed before the end of next week - Nicole Ward, Josh??
