LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Understand how to convert between different units of time and how to solve problems involving time.

STARTER Thursday:

Convert the following into Days, Hours and Minutes:

1. 1,500 Minutes = 25 hours - 1day & 1hour

2. 4,000 Minutes =  66 hours & 40 mins = 2 days 18 hours & 40 mins
3. 5,350 Minutes = 89 hours & 10 mins= 3 days 17 hours and 10 mins
4. 10,000 seconds = 166  mins 40 secs =  2 hours 46 mins 40 secs 

LESSON: Discuss units of time  - Secs, mins, hours, days, weeks.... and how to convert one into another. Get students to create their own  staircase to convert.
