Tues Oct 11th – Drawing Bar Charts

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: How to draw neat and accurate bar charts representing data in a frequency table

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be able to decide a suitable scale to ensure your bar charts are large and accurate. You will remember to leave a gap between categories and be neat using a pencil and ruler for all lines.

STARTER: Weather Maths – How quickly can you answer the questions on the board

LESSON: Hand out the questions sheets, emphasising the need to write down the time each part of an activity is completed

PLENARY: Swap books and Task sheet with a partner and get them to make some judgments on your work. Fill in the Peer Marking section at the bottom of the sheet. Hand them back.

Double check all key items we have covered in drawing bar charts with some five finger feedback
