Mon Jan 9th - Continue with Number work revision – BODMAS and Place Value

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: To work through ALL Level G and F number work practising examples and ensuring we know how to solve ALL problems

SUCCESS CRITERIA: You will be confident and well practiced with all of the following number problems

  • Adding in grids – all completed
  • All times tables up to 10's
  • Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100, 1000
  • BODMAS
  • Understand Place Value
  • Round numbers to nearest 10, 100, 1000
  • Adding and subtracting up to 4 digits using column method
  • Multiplying and dividing by single digits

  1. Move onto Ex 5B Answers all questions without a calculator or referring to times table grid – you can just write down answers for all these questions
  2. Ex 5c Work through each set of questions - check answers after each set – ALL QUESTIONS ARE IMPORTANT – DO NOT MISS ANY OUT

EXTENSION: Move on through rest of this chapter in a similar way – have a go at a couple of questions if too easy move to ext question if not practice more questions
